Mountain Boarding!!! What is it?
Since the late 1980's when "dirt boarding" or Mountainboarding grew out of Snow Boarding it has been gaining popularity as an adventure sport. Similar to other Boarding sports Mountainboarding requires riders to focus their mental and physical balance and control.
A mountain board is composed of four solid systems; there is the actual board, usually constructed of a sturdy wood that riders stand on. The trucks are the turning system that allows the rider to make stable turns, attached to the trucks are the large durable tires suited for the terrain. The final component of the Mountainboard is the braking system which provides for controlled stopping and slowing.
